How it all started ...
And then I was asked by my son and his now-wife to make their wedding cake.
Oh, and a gluten free cake, and a vegan cake for their guests.
One of their friends asked "Is this what you do?"
I replied: "No, don't be ridiculous, I sit behind a desk all day!"
And that's how it started ...

I make cakes for the Ledbury Repair Cafe every month, which I really enjoy doing. However, for my business, I wanted to create something a bit different.
A simple concept - elevating a humble muffin, creating lots of flavours, making them taste as good as they look, and adding just enough decoration to make them a bit special.
And really important for me (and hopefully for you too) - using quality ingredients, homemade curds, ganaches, and toppings, locally sourced seasonal fruit, and no added preservatives or artificial colourings.
Just honest, delicious muffins that are something to get excited about.
So The Fancier Muffin Co. was born. And because this is a small, local business, every muffin is made by me, in small batches, with lots of care. There are no conveyor belts here - just me, my home kitchen, and quite a lot of washing up!
I love living in Ledbury, and I'm really excited to be making and selling my muffins right here in the local community. If you fancy something freshly baked, tasty and a little bit fancier than your average muffin, I'd love you to give them a try.
